Lawrence Leonard is a graduate of Boston University, Bachelor of Arts (cum laude), and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (Juris Doctor).

Mr. Leonard is fluent in Spanish. 

Mr. Leonard has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1981. He is admitted to the Federal Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Leonard has litigated cases in all five boroughs of New York City and many of its surrounding counties. He has tried jury and bench trials and has argued in front of the Appellate Division of the State of New York.  

Mr. Leonard was President of the Boston University Chess Club. He also taught a chess class at Boston University. His chess activities were covered by the Boston University daily and weekly papers and he appeared on a local Boston television station regarding these activities. He is a member of the United States Chess Federation. 

Mr. Leonard has been interviewed on the radio concerning legal matters. He also has been quoted in the Baruch College Business Review.
